On April 28, the 2025 TCM Scientific and Technological Achievements Docking Meeting: “Inheriting Qihuang, Strengthening Industries, Prospering Gan-Po”, co-hosted by the Department of Education of Jiangxi Province, Science and Technology Department of Jiangxi Province, and Jiangxi University of Chinese Medicine, and organized by the Nanchang Municipal Bureau of Science and Technology, Jiangxi Provincial Science and Technology Achievements Transfer and Transformation Center, and Jiangxi Provincial TCM Industry Science and Technology Innovation Consortium, was held at our university. Attendees included Wang Yong, member of the Jiangxi Provincial Education Working Committee and Deputy Director of the Department of Education of Jiangxi Province; Xing Hongxing, Level-2 Inspector of the Science and Technology Department of Jiangxi Province; Zhang Delin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the university; Hu Huiyong, member of the Party Group and Deputy Director of the Nanchang Municipal Bureau of Science and Technology; Yi Jun, Director of the Provincial Science and Technology Achievements Transfer and Transformation Center; experts from provincial universities and research institutes; representatives from hospitals, pharmaceutical enterprises, and various achievements transfer centers, totaling over 150 people. The meeting was chaired by the head of the Scientific Research Office.
Before the meeting, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President Zhu Weifeng cordially met with the attending guests. Zhu Weifeng extended a warm welcome to the attending leaders and experts and expressed gratitude for their long-term support and assistance in the university's development.
In his speech, Zhang Delin stated that in recent years, the university has actively promoted scientific and technological innovation, integration of industry and education, school-enterprise collaboration, accelerated achievements transformation, and formed new quality productive forces. The university will take this achievements docking conference as an opportunity to explore the “Jiangxi TCM Path” for scientific and technological achievements transformation service models, insist on implementing projects in enterprises and writing papers on products, focus on strengthening TCM scientific and technological innovation, build a “new engine” for innovative Jiangxi, promote the development of new quality productive forces, stimulate “new momentum” for serving the strong TCM province, and contribute “Jiangxi TCM” wisdom to vigorously composing the Jiangxi chapter of Chinese-style modernization.
Xing Hongxing stated that around building the province's “1+M+N” scientific and technological achievements transfer and transformation service system, universities should firmly adopt a problem-oriented approach, according to the functional positioning requirements of N centers, establish higher benchmarks and goals, build closer and more effective collaboration, and accelerate the comprehensive improvement and transformation of concepts, capabilities, mechanisms, and effectiveness in achievements transformation work.
Wang Yong stated that holding this event is to build an open cooperation platform, enabling effective docking of university scientific and technological achievements with enterprise market demands, promoting deep integration of industry, academia, and research, and advancing the transformation and application of TCM scientific and technological achievements. To better promote the innovative development of the TCM industry, he proposed three opinions: First, use collaborative innovation to solve “bottleneck” problems; second, optimize the achievements transformation ecosystem through open cooperation; third, lead the TCM industry upgrade with digital empowerment.
At the meeting, research teams released the latest achievements such as the Class 1 new Chinese medicine Pulsatilla Saponin B4 and Pulsatilla Saponin B4 Suppositories, and the Guidelines for the Construction of Digital TCM Health Preservation Bases. The National Engineering Research Center for Solid Preparations of Chinese Herbal Medicine at Jiangxi University of Chinese Medicine signed a new drug development cooperation framework agreement with Guangxi Yingluweite Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., with an agreement amount of RMB 50 million.
At the meeting, the launch and signing ceremony for the university science and technology service “Entering Parks and Enterprises” special action and Nanchang City's “One Enterprise, One Doctor” science and technology talent service action was also held. “Entering Parks and Enterprises” is a special action to implement the spirit of the Department of Education's scientific and technological achievements transfer and transformation work, aimed at establishing a “enterprises pose questions, universities solve them” industry-academia-research collaboration mechanism, promoting precise docking and stable cooperation between schools and parks, talents and enterprises, and driving the integrated development of scientific and technological innovation and industrial innovation.
Achievements from 7 research teams from the Jiangxi Provincial Hospital of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine and our university were presented in roadshows and promotions.
At the end of the achievements docking meeting, a seminar on condensing key core technical issues in Jiangxi Province's TCM industry chain was also held, where attending experts conducted in-depth discussions on key issues in the TCM industry chain.
The successful holding of this docking meeting not only showcased our university's research strength and achievements in the TCM field but also provided an important platform for promoting the innovative development of the TCM industry. In the future, the university will continue to take serving local economic development as its responsibility, market demand-oriented, deepen school-enterprise cooperation, spawn new industries, new models, new momentum, and continuously form new quality productive forces.
