Xinhua News Agency, Tashkent, June 7: As the rotating chair of the SCO, Uzbekistan hosted the SCO Forum on Traditional Medicine themed “Integrating Traditional (Folk) Medicine into Modern Healthcare Systems” in Tashkent on Tuesday.
The main purpose of the forum was to exchange the latest unique practices and scientific research information in the field of traditional medicine.
The SCO Forum on Traditional Medicine, themed “Integrating Traditional (Folk) Medicine into Modern Healthcare Systems”, was held in Tashkent on June 7, 2022.
Health ministers from SCO member states, academic representatives, and senior experts in modern and traditional medicine, rehabilitation, pharmacology, and experimental medicine attended the forum both online and offline.
Notably, during Uzbekistan’s tenure as the SCO rotating chair, over 80 events at various levels were planned. As of now, more than half have been completed.
The SCO Heads of State Summit will be held in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, on September 15–16 this year. Preparations are underway to draft various documents to be signed during the summit.
